We are supposed to be setting off for Cumbria tomorrow to Wynfell Forest CenterParcs but looking at the news it seems as if we may not be able to get there-are the roads as impassable as they seem to be?
YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Julie, can you phone one of the motoring organisations to check the state of the roads? Nick & Damian (older son) had planned to go walking in Cumbria tomorrow, but think the roads may be dicey, so probably won`t set off.

Good luck if you go, and I hope you have a lovely time.

Hi Julie,

I had a look on the met office site and after early morning tomorrow it should be dry but icy.
I think you will get there if you go carefully.

Good luck with it and have a safe journey.

Bit nerve racking for you Julie - what car do you have? Is it a 4 wheel drive?

We were supposed to be going to see Professor Emery in Leeds today but had to turn back. It took us 1hr 35 mins to travel 1/2 a mile from home to the Brooklands roundabout. It then took us another 45 mins to get home. Linds and Ian have gone without us (they live in Bolton) but apparently the motorway was very hazardous. Lindsey had an appointment and I was supposed to be going with her. She's fallen in love with the Prof - even though he gave her a huge depo in the bum!!
